The lodge consists of a beautiful main building and 8 stunning suites hidden in the lush riverside forest, offering spectacular views over the tranquil Marico River.

How to get there:
By Air: Madikwe Air Charters provides two daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg International Airport in Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve.
Private Air Charters: Madikwe Game Reserve has a 1200 meter, all-weather, gravel airstrip approximately 10 kilometers south of Makanyane Safari Lodge. Transfers to and from the lodge through the game reserve are free of charge.
By road: There are two routes by road from Johannesburg International Airport to Makanyane Safari Lodge:
The first route (approximately 3.5 hours driving time) travels via Sun City to the Makanyane private entrance. This route travels over approximately 90 km of gravel road. Detailed directions and map are available on request. The second route (about 5 hours driving time) travels via the towns of Rustenburg and Zeerust. This route has approximately 40 km of dirt road. Detailed directions and map are available on request.
