Zanzibar PRISON ISLAND TRIP (HALF DAY)

This historical Island was formerly owned by an Arab and used for the confinement of refractory slaves. It was bought by General Mathews and the jail (goal) which still stands was built in 1893 and hence the name “PRISON ISLAND� One time it was Cholera infectors quarantine station for East African Territory. Today Prison Island is one of the Tourist relax Spot where there is a big Beach Resort, restaurant, bar etc for serving both locals and Tourists.

At the Prison Island you will see GIANT TORTOISES, peacocks ,birds and other species of animals the Island is great deal for swimming, sunbathe and snorkeling, Diving and other sea sports.
