Zambezi Kulefu Camp,Zambezi National Park-Zambia is located Deep in the game-rich Lower Zambezi National Park, this is a secluded and intimate safari camp settled comfortably in the deep shade of tall riverine trees.
The Zambezi shares a heady mix of strength and tranquility with all who
come close to it — and it is this very special essence which Sanctuary Zambezi Kulefu Camp manages to capture.
Kulefu, which means “the faraway place”, is an Eden of wild places,
located on a permanent channel of the Zambezi in the cool shade of a grove of Winterthorn Acacias.
Seven spacious canvas tents surround a magnificent Bedouin-style central area, lit at night by the glow of a campfire and traditional paraffin lamps for a truly authentic bush experience.
The camp offers seven spacious tents with twin or double beds, mosquito nets, en-suite facilities and tranquil views of the Zambezi River.
The central lounge and dining area are housed in two magnificent Bedouin style tents, giving an open-air feel and in harmony with the surrounding environment. There is a refreshing swimming pool and teak deck overlooking the river.
The area offers impressive game viewing with regular sightings of lion, leopard and serval. Other animals include elephants, hippo, wild dog, buffalo and general game.
Bird watching and stargazing are also popular activities.
Game Drives
Guests can take professionally guided day and night drives through the riverine woodlands in customised 4 x 4 vehicles.
Walking Safaris
Game walks offer a perfect way to experience the bush up close and
personal. Walking safaris are conducted by a professional guide and are always escorted by an armed national parks scout.
Motorised boat
Early morning or sunset river cruises are available as well as fishing in the Zambezi River (subject to water levels).
Canoeing Excursions

Fishing trips for game fish such as catfish, bream or the renowned
tigerfish on a catch and release basis can be organised.
