Sadaani>Tent With A View is a unique combination of wild Africa and barefoot luxury. The lodge has 3 spacious suites including our honeymoon suite, “Venus�, 3 family suites and 9 tented bandas. All rooms are raised up high on wooden platforms each with their own terrace and hammock affording wonderful cooling Indian Ocean sea breezes. Our honeymoon suite, Venus even has its very own sunken bath set deep within the mangroves.

There are nature trails to our viewing tower where you can see deep into the Saadani bush or way across the Indian Ocean to Zanzibar. Alternatively, take a canoe ride amongst the stunning birdlife on our very own Mafui creek. The lodge activities are all complimentary to guests.

Where is Saadani?
Saadani is geographically the closest reserve to Dar es Salaam (130km) and, even considering the present situation of no coast road, it is still a similar distance in terms of time to Mikumi National Park, the next closest wildlife destination.

Construction of the coast road from Dar es Salaam is underway and once completed, this will reduce driving time to around two hours from Dar making Saadani the closest wildlife destination to Dar offering an irresistible combination of beach and wildlife viewing. Saadani also sits almost directly opposite Zanzibar’s Stone Town, located approximately 42 km away. Flights from Zanzibar to Saadani take just 15 minutes.
