DAY 1: KIGALI-Akagera National Park
Arrival at Kigali International Air port where you will meet with our Air port representative.
After briefing you will be taken to Kigali Serena hotel BB then after and if time allows, go for the Kigali city tour which includes among others; Gisozi genocide memorial site, this visit takes you 2hrs.

- Drive to Akagera national park, via Rusumo Water Falls on the Rwanda / Tanzania border
- Check in at Akagera Game Lodge for lunch
- Afternoon, the first classic savannah wildlife game drives / game viewing
- Dinner & overnight at your hotel BB


DAY 2: Another exciting day at Akagera and then a leisurely drive back to Kigali in the evening.

- Full day of game drives / game viewing, from the south to the north of the park
- Picnic lunch will be served on top of Mt Mutumba, a lovely area that commands scenic views of the park
- Exit the park, and leisurely drive to Kigali

DAY 3: BUTARE / NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

- Drive to the Nyungwe Forest National Park
- Visit the Nyanza and Butare national Museums

DAY 4: NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK / LAKE KIVU - CYANGUGU

- Morning Chimpanzee trekking experiences in the Nyungwe Forest National Park
- Lunch at Gisakura hotel
- Afternoon go for a Nature Walk, either to the Kamiranzovu Water Falls, or go for the Colobus Monkeys Nature Walk.

DAY 5: LAKE KIVU – KIBUYE / AMAHORO ISLAND
- Drive to Kibuye holiday resort town, passing through breathtaking mountains, deep valleys, and the typical Rwandan countryside of“1000 Hills topography

- Breakfast will be served at the nearby scenic Amahoro Island , in Lake Kivu
- Motor Boat excursion trip on Lake Kivu, visiting several small islands, including the Napoleon Island , best known for its inhabitants of thousands of giant bats (vleermuizen)
- Lunch at Amahoro Island , in Lake Kivu
- Return to mainland for a walking tour of Kibuye town, taking in the genocide Church Memorial site, and local market

DAY 6: LAKE KIVU - RUHENGERI
