Namib Desert Crossing
This trip explores the former forbidden zones of Diamond Area 2. Starting in Windhoek travelling via Rehoboth, the tour winds its westwards into pristine, uninhabited wilderness. Passing grassy plains, granite hills, quiver trees, succulents, we reach the Atlantic coast line. Desert adapted animals cross our paths. After exploring abandoned mining villages and old trawlers we turn inland again near Tsondab Vlei and end the tour in Solitaire. This route tests your off-road driving skills to the fullest, but the rewards are unsurpassed landscapes, fun and camaraderie & camping under the stars.

The safari starts off with 2 days in Swakopmund, following on the Atlantic coastline northwards towards the Skeleton Coast. At Cape Cross we turn into the rocky desert region, passed the Messum crater and the Gobobseb Mountains. The area is very scenic and dotted with ancient welwitschia, hoodia and euphorbia plants. We meet local small miners who prospect semi precious minerals like amethyst, tourmaline and rose quartz. The journey leads through the dry river beds of the Ugab & Huab River where desert elephants are a common occurrence. Near Twyfelfontein we overnight at Camp Xaragu. From Khorixas we depart back to Windhoek.

Khaudom – Caprivi - Kaokoland – Damaraland - Coastal Trip
Exploring some of the most famous 4-wheel areas of Namibia, this safari combines off the beaten track places with designated camping at Lodges. We visit local Bushman, Himba & Damara tribes, explore the wetlands in the Caprivi, travel through the rural Ohangwena and Omusati Region to the ephemeral Kunene River and visit Epupa. Making our way through Kaokoland, we also negotiate the famed Van Zyl’s Pass and criss-cross various dry riverbeds like the Khumib and Hoanib, camping at Purros. Desert elephants, giraffes, oryx, springbok and with luck the endangered black rhino may cross our way. After visiting Twyfelfontein we return southwards to Windhoek.

Buschmanland - Khaudom – Kavango - Caprivi Trip
Starting point of the tour is either at Buitepos or Katima Mulilo ( tour can run visa versa). We discover the sandy Khaudom Park for a few days and spend time with local bushman tribes. We visit Popa Falls and explore the wetlands along the Kwando and Okavango Rivers, the Bwabwata National Park and Mdumu / Mamili and the Mahango Park on gamedrives. The lush green landscape provides a strong contrast to the desert scenery of the inland, attracting elephants, buffalo and the rare sable & roan antelope amongst other game species. During visits to traditional villages we get entertained by song and dance and have the chance to buy local crafts.

The excess of ZAR/N$20 000 for the rental vehicle which includes standard insurance has to be guaranteed by credit card: Following extra payable amounts reduce the excess; Excess reduction to N$10 000 – pay ZAR/N$120 per day extra (netto).
