Alte Kalköfen lodge namibia. name that was derived from
two old lime ovens situated on the farms Simplon and
Sandverhaar. The older oven was built in the middle 1800s and
the newer oven in 1910 with the purpose to produce lime that
was used for construction and agricultural purpose.
Alte Kalköfen is situated on a plot inside the farm Sandverhaar.
The properties are situated 90 km west from Keetmanshoop,
next to the main tar road to Luderitz and the lodge itself is situated only 2.5 km east from the main tar road on district
road D462.
