The Masai Mara is one of Eastern Africa’s most fascinating nature reserves featuring a huge and varied animal kingdom.
Surrounded by hills, the rivers Mara and Talek pass through the vast bush and grassland, meandering in apparently never-ending
windings through the untouched landscape.

Matira Bush Camp is located in the heart of the Masai Mara at the junction of the Mara river and the Talek river.
A few steps outside the camp you are close to grazing zebras, gnus, antelopes, crocodiles and hippos relaxing at the riverbank.
Matira Bush Camp is under the guidance of local management. The team consists of local Masai with years of experience as safari
guides for international clients.
Our vision is to introduce you to a pure and authentic experience of the African bush and wildlife.

Accommodation:
The camp has 7 tents with two beds per tent.
On request for groups we can build up more tents.
Hot water shower and eco toilets are available.
Accommodation is on a full board basis.
The camp has 24 hour security with Masai guards.

Cuisine:
Whether under the Leopard Tree, in the dining tent or under the stars, you will be treated to an international cuisine with a local touch, freshly prepared by our experienced chef.

Electricity and power supply:
Charging system for batteries is available.

Activities:
• Walking safaris - Early in the morning you can go on a walking safari. Experienced Masai guides take you to places where you can admire wild animals at close range.

• Masai village - Have a visit to a Masai village with us and gain an insight into the traditional culture.

• Bush picnics - We can take you to beautiful places with marvellous views. Enjoy your breakfast, lunch, sundowners or dinner in the middle of nature.
