SOUTHERN ETHIOPIA TOUR FOR SIX DAYS
Day 1. Arrive Addis Ababa airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2. Morning drive through Great Rift Valley lakes of the crater lakes of Debre Zeith, Koka lake,Langano, Shalla and Abyata which are known for aquatic birds such as pelicans, flamingoes, storks and more. Visit Awassa, the Sidamo people houses and culture and overnight at Aregash Lodge.
Day 3. After breakfast trekking to Hassani Forest which is rich for coffee and banana plantations and home to a big variety of birds. You will see the very impressive landscape of the surrounding Sidamo Highlands,Sidamo Cultural houses and people. In the evening people are entertain with the Hyena feeding around the Lodge and overnight at Aregash Lodge.
Day 4. Driving to Arbaminch, in Amharic meaning 40 springs en-route visit Awassa Fish market and on the way admire very interesting views and the Wolayta people, their villages, culture, the cultivation of the false banana tree and more. Drive to Chencha, to visit the Dorze people, their particular weaving works for which they are famous, strange houses and overnight Swayne’s hotel Arba Minch.
Day 5. Morning after breakfast travel by Bout on Chamo Lake for two hour to visit the Netch Sar National Park which is rich in wildlife having different mammals like the endemic Swaynes Hartebeest, Zebras, lesser kudu, and different birds in the afternoon back boat trip to admire crocodiles market and hippos (here crocodiles are some of the longest in Africa, with a length of 6 meters & above). Back to Arba Minch and overnight at Swaynes’s hotel

Day 6. After breakfast drive to visit the Ostrich Park, Abijatta-Shalla National Park, Langano, Zeway Lake which is known for its bird life such as Flamingos, Pelicans, Storks, Waders and many other aquatic birds and drive back to Addis Ababa and take part in the Fair well dinner party in a typical local restaurant with traditional songs and dancing arranged by Empire Tour Ethiopia and departure.
