ITINERARY IN COMBINATION OF AFAR DALLOL AND TIGRAY ROCK-HIWEN CHURCHES FOR 12 NIGHTS

Day 1. Arrive Addis Ababa airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 2. City Tour of Addis Ababa visit the National Museum were the site of Lucy 3.5 million years old the Cradle of Mankind and visit Trinity Cathedral Church, Merkato (the largest open air market of Africans) and then drive to Mt. Entoto to admire the stupendous view over the city with its surrounding plains and volcanic cones like Mt. Zuquala to the south and overnight
hotel.

Day 3. Drive to Awash National Park along Debre Zeit and the volcanic lakes nearby and pass through, Nazareth and Fantale volcano and across Metahara lake and heading to the famous Great Rift Valley where the Awash National park is and visit Awash river falls and overnight hotel.

Day 4. Morning visit the Awash national park for different wildlife’s, the Awash river falls; the river gorge proceed to Semera and arrange the permit from Afar Tourism office for guides and overnight at Nazareth hotel in Logia.


Day 5. Drive to Afdera to have the polices to accompany the tours and over night camping in Afedera near the lake.

Day 6. After breakfast drive to Ertale pass through Kusrewat village for lunch on lunch box and to arrange for Camel to carry the staffs and local guide and leave the cars and the cook in Dodome (base camp) and after dinner trekking to Ertale.

Day 7. Return back to Dodome base comp for over night camping.

Day 8. After breakfast drive to Amedela and over night camping.

Day 9. Next morning visit Dallol, Assale and the salt caravans and back to Amedela camping.

Day 10. Drive to Gheralta though Berahele with a great view of Tigry mountains overnight Gheralta lodge.

Day 11. Visit Gheralta, Hawsen Tigray rock-hiwn churches of Abreha Wa Atsbeha , Wekro Cherkos,Petros We Powlos and overnight and over night at Gheralta Lodge.

Day 12. Early morning drive Gheralta to Mekelle for flight to Addis Ababa and afternoon leasure time and shopping and overnight hotel Addis Ababa.

Day 13.City Tour of Addis Ababa and take part in the Fair well dinner party in a typical local restaurant with traditional songs and dancing and departure.
