Day 1 & 2
Arrive at the Maun airport where you will be met by your pilot and shown to your light aircraft for your flight to the Makgadikgadi National Park.
Jack’s Camp consists of ten roomy and stylish canvas tents, with en-suite bathrooms and indoor and outdoor showers (for those who want to feel the Kalahari breeze on their skin). Guests can enjoy spectacular vistas from the privacy of their own verandas.
During the wet season the landscape transforms. Clouds of flamingo and other migratory birds descend from the skies to decorate the watery grasslands. Herds of zebra and wildebeest materialise, drawn by the lush grass, and for several months, the desert is teeming with game and predators.
The guides team up with a small group of San Bushmen to guide guests on morning walks and game drives. Guests can also enjoy a relic of one of the world’s largest super-lakes, the Makgadikgadi. This beautiful feature dried up thousands of years ago as a result of the continued shifting of the earth’s crust. Venturing far into the centre of the Makgadikgadi, on quad bikes, guests are able to explore remote archaeological sites, periodically discovering never before documented fossil beds of extinct giant zebra and hippo. A safari to Jack's Camp is also a complete desert experience focusing on species unique to the area such as aardvark, gemsbok and springbok. It is the only place where guests are virtually guaranteed to see the rare and elusive brown hyena and be able to walk through the Kalahari with a gang of habituated, but wild, meerkats!
Jack’s Camp [Fully inclusive]
Day 3 & 4
Kanana Camp (Setswana for 'paradise,') is centrally situated in the Okavango Delta, deep amongst grass covered islands, encompassing a necklace of islands on the Xudum River. The camp comprises eight large twin-bedded safari style tents with teak decking and private en suite bathroom, built on plinths, overlooking the Delta. The common facilities of the camps are also built up on stilts overlooking these floodplains. The area is an excellent walking and mokoro area.
By game viewing on foot and by mokoro, you do not have the noise of the vehicle and therefore will experience the bush in it's true form. You will be at one with nature without the intrusion of man. There will be just the sounds of the bush and your footfalls on the earth. The silence will help your ears to pick-up the previously unheard sounds of the bush usually hidden by the mechanical hum of the car. You are on their ground on their terms! Motorboat excursions to the Xo Lagoon is offered when the lagoon is in flood and game viewing in 4 x 4 vehicles is also available.
Kanana Camp [Fully Inclusive]
Day 5 & 6
Continue by light aircraft to Shinde Camp.
Shinde is a magical hideaway nestling within the shade of ancient jackal berries, water figs and knobthorns and is built in a remote and exclusive setting on the edge of the permanent waters of northern Okavango Delta.
One of the original camp sites in the Delta, it is the ultimate safari destination and renowned for combining the mystery of the crystal clear waterways, lily covered lagoons and palm islands with stunning game viewing. Indeed, Shinde offers some of the finest dry land game viewing in Botswana with regular sightings of lion and leopard. This abundant animal and birdlife make for spectacular photographic and viewing opportunities by mokoro (traditional canoe), boating and bush walks. For the fishing enthusiasts, Shinde offers fly-fishing trips, and the chance to test ones skills against a variety of species including the mighty tigerfish, probably the most challenging freshwater game fish of all!
The camp offers 8 well-appointed twin-bedded safari style tents, all with en-suite facilities. Each bathroom is equipped with a shower, flush toilet and hot and cold running water. Shinde offers an experience in a class of its own, representing a showcase of comfort, service and personal attention. The primary goal is to provide guests the opportunity of a personal relationship with nature, and therefore each tent offers exceptional views of the delta with its unique African beauty.
Shinde Camp [Fully Inclusive]
Day 7 & 8
Perched on the former banks of the now dry Savute Channel, the Savuti Elephant Camp offers a spectacular bird’s eye view of elephant in their natural habitat, with an adjacent water hole just metres away from the camps main building, the impressions created at Savute will last forever.
The Savute is a dramatic area to see high concentrations of elephant and lions. Prides up to 40 strong are not uncommon as are sighting of all the other major predators; the endangered wild dog, leopard, cheetah and the hyena. Savute is also renowned for its excellent birding during the summer months (December through March), as well as being home to some very rare rock paintings drawn by the early San Bushmen, who once inhabited the region.
All luxury tents are housed on raised wooden platforms, offering great views, and shaded by a traditional African thatch roof. The large private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a hammock, ideal for viewing wildlife, or for enjoying a private dinner in complete privacy. The tent interiors are luxuriously appointed with such comforts as an en suite bathroom, private fully stocked mini bar, four poster bed complete with mosquito netting, as well as a discreet air conditioning.
The 12 twin-bedded luxury canvas tents, recently placed under thatch, that are perfectly suited to the desert air feature lavishly appointed en-suite bathrooms and dressing areas.

Day 9 & 10
Leave the Savuti area and continue by light aircraft to Kasane. You will be met by your transfer company who will transfer you to the Kasane immigrations where you will be met by an Ichobezi Houseboat representative.
The majestic Ichobezi is a newly built, state of the art luxury safariboat operating on both the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers. At 18 metres long and boasting four twin en-suite cabins for guest use - all decorated in tasteful African style - this unique boat offers the guest comfort, space and versatility.
Guests board The Ichobezi onto the accommodation deck that comprises six bedrooms, two of which are reserved for your crew. Each spacious double guest bedroom can be configured either as twin or double and has en-suite bathroom facilities and sliding windows opening onto the water. In order to prevent mosquitoes from entering the rooms, each window is spanned by a transparent mosquito screen.
Game viewing by boat into the Chobe National Park is a remarkable experience - where huge herds of elephants come down to drink together with an extensive array of other game such as buffalo, giraffe, leopard, lion, kudu, waterbuck, puku, lechwe, impala and baboons. The evening boat trip provides the guest with the unforgettable experience of witnessing a true African sunset, while being surrounded by herds of elephant and sipping on a cold sundowner.
Bird watching is a year round pleasure with over 400 recorded species and a combination of water birds and woodland birds on the island. It is an excellent place to see all the summer migrants from September through to March. There are a wide variety of habitats covered by the vessels and all guides are competent birders.
